Ratings:

#1:  Ventura, IA:  29/wc 18 {differential 23.5}
#2:  Beatrice, NE:  26/no wc
#3:  Norfolk, NE:  28/no wc
#4:  Eagan, MN:  32/24 {differential 28}
#5:  Garrison, IA:  33/25 {differential 29}
#6:  BALMIEST LECKBANDS! Lincoln, NE:  30/no wc

Notes:

  • Introducing a new calculation! Sharp eyes will have noticed a new feature--the "differential." My crack team of temp consultants & I have spent hours pouring over meteorological data, analyzing & applying complex mathematical formulae, in order to fine-tune our rating system. Alas, the scientific community has been loathe to recognize this achievement, no doubt because I am an English major. *
  • Why does Norfolk place 3rd over Eagan? Because we are located closer to the Equator. [Also see footnote * below.]
  • A "shout-out" to Lincoln, Nebraska this morning. It's not everyday that a temperature like this receives an accolade like this.
* Also, I might add, who cares? It's my blog.
