Meditation for PALM SUNDAY

A Verse Worth Repeating *

“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!” Psalm 8:9

“The Lord is our Ruler, too, & His kingdom is established & founded from the mouths of babes & sucklings. We entered it by Baptism, & we are called to it daily through Word & Gospel.”

MY MEDITATION

You & I & all believers have great reasons to wave our palm branches today & every day. Jesus is majestic, because He has called us by Baptism to believe in Him—not as some warrior king to bring us material blessings--but rather He rides into our lives as a heavenly king with the promise of forgiveness & salvation. Happy Palm Sunday!

A Hymn of Prayer **

"Ride on, ride on in majesty! In lowly pomp ride on to die. Bow Thy meek head to mortal pain, then take, O God, Thy power and reign.

* I am posting a meditation for each day of Holy Week, plus Easter MON; I am also continuing to draw insights from Dr. Martin Luther.
