Meditation for MON of Holy Week

You Are Not Alone *

“Save, O Lord, for the godly one is gone; for the faithful have vanished from among the children of man.” Psalm 12:1

“For God is not without a people. He is a God of mercy & of judgment. Therefore He preserves & guides those who are not impenitent but humble themselves & seek forgiveness.”

MY MEDITATION

There’s something about Holy Week that calls us to meditate on our personal failures & faithlessness. Jesus rode into Jerusalem on that first Palm Sunday, spent that Holy Week preaching & teaching those who would listen to Him with open hearts. His message today is the same as His message then:  Repent & receive Him who is the Anointed One. He not only calls us to repentance, He provides us with the Good News of forgiveness through faith, made possible by God’s overwhelming grace.

A Hymn of Prayer **

"Savior, for our pardon sue when our sins Your pangs renew, for we know not what to do:  Hear us, holy Jesus."

* I am posting a meditation for each day of Holy Week, plus Easter MON; I am also continuing to draw insights from Dr. Martin Luther.
