whimsical BLAHging
Today's BL.A.H. * Feature
* Bloggers Against HypocrisyI am so tired of repeating myself . . . but here I go again.
- I have NOT endorsed any candidate for POTUS . . . nor will I.
- Having said that, in hindsight, I fear that I may have & continue to be perceived as self-righteous. That's fair.
- I can tell you for sure that nothing could persuade me to vote for SWSHBIBYN.
- You wanna vote for her? That's your constitutional right . . . unless you're not a registered voter or dead . . . in which case I'm sayin' . . .
- Just stop blabbering [blubberring?] about how crude, corrupt, incompetent, unfit that HWIHNE . . . would be for public office compared to your candidate. OK?
- Here it is--a mere 3 days before the election, & while I know whom I will NOT cast my vote for, I still do not know whom I WILL cast my vote for.
- I am reasonably assured that regardless of the outcome of the results of this next Tuesday's election, it will not trigger Armageddon.
Just to keep things interesting, here are a few links to check out on your own dime.

Saturday Whimsy *
* Not to be mistaken for Wednesday Whimsy
From Omaha World Herald (9/14): "Teacher left gun in restroom, & little kids found it. A teacher at a Christian school accidentally left her loaded pistol in a restroom, where elementary school children found it, (PA) state police said TUE . . . " [What? You thought only teachers in government schools needed to carry guns for self-defense?] *
* Alternate heading: "There Is No Place Like Pennsylvania."
From Lincoln Journal Star, 5 Good Minutes (10/18): "Trey Foster, Tight End . . . Best thing to eat at the training table: 'Probably bison burgers.'" [Yes! You are officially my favorite Husker!]
From Norfolk Daily News (10/25): "1 million pop tabs. Students in the Randolph (NE) Public School District watched as the senior class dumped 24 boxes of pop tabs on the gym floor--1 million of them. The Siouxland Ronald McDonald House awarded the students a Million Pop Tab certificate--the first ever awarded by the Sioux City facility." [There Is No Place Like Nebraska!] *
* I could contrast this w/students at other high schools, taking a knee during the National Anthem, but . . . it looks like I just did!?
Also from LJS (11/3): "Venerable elm finally succumbs to Dutch elm disease. A venerable old elm tree that's believed to be the largest of its kind in New England has finally succumbed to Dutch elm disease in the Vermont town of Charlotte. [DEPT. OF IMAGINARY PRESS CONFERENCES! Leo DiCaprio: I've called this press conference to denounce global climate chance deniers for the demise of this legendary, old elm tree. Fox News Reporter: A state arborist claims that it died of Dutch elm disease. LDC: I'm here to denounce state arborists, too. And the Dutch. Who are obviously the worst global climate change deniers. FNR: Didn't they sign the most recent global climate change treaty? LDC: I DENOUNCE YOU, TOO! FNR (to CNN reporter): He seems to be frothing at the mouth.] *
* I've decided to make fun of Leonardo Dicaprio for awhile & give Amy Schumer a break.
Also from NDN (11/1): "Have a fun fall camping trip. The leaves are changing color, the weather's getting colder & fall is definitely in the air. Use the following 5 tips to get the most out of your fall camping trip.
