LIVING PRUDENTLY
"To live prudently means to think clearly about one's choices & arrive at decisions controlled not by whim or appetite but by an understanding of the difference between right & wrong." D. Bruce Lockerbie, Men's Devotional Bible
THE HISTORICAL RESURRECTION
"The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a reality, not an unsupported theory or a fanciful idea Scripture testifies to the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ & asks listeners & readers to check it out, to verify the historical certainty of the resurrection. We, like Paul, can rely on the reality of the resurrection as it is prophesied in Scripture & as it is demonstrated in historical fact. We can believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus based on the scriptural accounts, & also use human tools like logic, reason & historical research to verify it . . . The resurrection is our belief & a reality. Do not worry when you defend your belief in the resurrection. The historical evidence & the facts are on your side. Use them. Like Paul, become an apologist for the resurrection of Jesus." Kirk Clayton, The Lutheran Witness, April 2020
