A Desire to Service + The Reality of the Resurrection

"A person filled with the Spirit of Christ strongly desires to serve. He does not seek to establish his own emotional turf but freely edifies & encourages other family members through his servant spirit."   Charles Stanley, Men's Devotional Bible

"The truth is on your side, so speak it as a matter of fact. Luther once said that 'the Holy Spirit is not a skeptic.' He meant that Christians in whom the Spirit dwells make truth assertions:  Christ is risen! Nothing displays that confidence more unmistakably than celebrating the resurrection with the people of God through the Sundays of the Church Year, climaxing in the jubilation of Easter morning. Christian devotion & allegiance to the risen Christ stands as a monument throughout the ages that the church gathers to proclaim & celebrate that Jesus has conquered sin & death. Faithfully celebrate with the church each week & so bear consistent witness to the living Christ, who speaks to us with His real voice in the Gospels & visits us with His real presence in the Sacraments."  John Bombaro, The Lutheran Witness, April, 2020
