Wednesday Whimsy
From Omaha World Herald (1/7): "613-pound tuna sells for record $3.1 milion amid depopulation of species. A bluefin tuna sold for a record $3.1 million at the first auction of the year at Tokyo's new fish market on SAT, but behind the cdelebrations hides a worrying tale of overfishing & dwindling stocks." We learned in Hawaii that one of the things that bluefin tuna, or ahi, is prized for is sashimi, which is raw fish, often eaten as part of sushi. If you haven't tried it, don't knock it.

(From Life in These United States) "Before heading off to Mexico on vacation, my daughter asked her doctor for medicine to ward off any potential stomach roubles. Instead, the doctor prescribed bottled water & electrolytes, 'which have simple sugars & salt.' My daughter liked that. 'Oh,' she said, 'like a margarita?'"
