Multitasking, Part 1
As I was drifting ever closer to burnout, I fooled myself into thinking that I was a master of multi-tasking. I was fooling myself."In a fallen world, multitasking can mask a temptation to be in control. We may also focus too much on what we do rather than who we do it for & why. We may aim for earthly success & achievement but miss the mark with those we love We may even prefer the control & pace of managing our own schedules & neglect opportunities for rest & relationships.
"Multitasking cannot change the reality that our thoughts words & deeds have natural limits. Our best efforts cannot save, control, guarantee approval, make or define us. God does. Our God knows our every weakness & limitation, & they are no obstacle for Him. He forgives us for the sake of Christ & commands us to rest in His care, receiving faith & all His other gifts freely by His Spirit." Source: "Getting It Done," by Mary J. Moerbe in Lutheran Witness, Sept. 2018.
