Meditation for EASTER MONDAY

The New World *

“When I look at Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon & the stars, which You have set in place, what is man that You are mindful of him?” Psalm 8:3-4

“By this He teaches that in the world to come the life of the elect & saved will be in heaven & will be a heavenly being & life, where we shall no longer have to work, have toil or trouble, eat, drink, mourn, or be sorrowful, as we must in this world. We shall have an eternal Sabbath & holy day, be eternally satisfied in God, eternally joyful, safe, free of all sorrow.”

MY MEDITATION

Dear Savior, we thank You that you paid the price for our sin. We praise You for your glorious resurrection. We believe what You taught Your first disciples, namely, that You were going to prepare a place for them, for us in heaven. May we hold fast to Your wonderful promises & look ahead to a heaven where there will no longer be any sorrow but only eternal joy. Amen!

A Hymn of Prayer **

"Hail the Lord of earth & heaven! Praise to Thee by both be given! Thee we greet triumphant now:  Hail the resurrection, Thou!"

* I am posting a meditation for each day of Holy Week, plus Easter MON; I am also continuing to draw insights from Dr. Martin Luther.
