ANOTHER ROAD TRIP? ANOTHER ROAD TRIP!

It seems like 2021 is an endless flurry of road trips for us. Tomorrow we leave for a week at David--Lois' brother--& Carmen's--Mrs. Hill & my 1st cousin--chalet on Little Island Lake near Park Rapids, MN.We look forward to the peaceful atmosphere & calming respite of nature. I look forward to fishing. [Hopefully, we'll do some catching.] Then we're off the clock until next month, when we spend a week with our son Nathan & his family in Eagan, MN.

"[Vice-president] Harris' recent speech in which she said, 'do not come, do not come,' has about a much credibility as Bill Clinton's denial of sex with Monica Lewinsky. There are critics who say this is part of a plan by Democrats to 'import' new voters & make the party a permanent majority. That may be part of it, but I suspect another reason is to undermine the values & traditions that built & have sustained this country from the beginning. There are those secular progressives who speak & behave as if they hate America & would be happy to see it brought down to the level of other countries or destroyed outright. What better way to do this than to dilute those values & traditions by importing foreigners?

That thing you kinda want to do someday? Do it now. I mean, literally, pause reading this column, pick up the phone, & book that skydiving session. RIGHT NOW. I'll wait. Don't put it off until you have the time to really relax & enjoy it. That will be approximately three decades from now, & it's highly possible you won't be able to enjoy it. I will never forgive myself for passing up a chance to go to trapeze school in my late 20s. I figured I could always do it later, little knowing that in my early 30s my lower back would decide to take up amateur dramatics. At least somebody got to perform."
