CREATION
Yesterday's Old Testament reading was from Genesis Chapters 1-2: the biblical creation account. If you believe that the Bible is the literal Word of God, then you hopefully believe that this is a true account of the creation of the world by God Almighty.Sadly, not everyone agrees with this account. Some believe it is a myth. Some believe that the days of creation each lasted millions of years, even though elsewhere in the Old Testament the same Hebrew word for "day" means a literal 24-hour day.
Those who cannot put their faith in the biblical account of creation, I suspect, believe in a God that is too small. They try to accommodate biblical language to the false doctrine of evolution. The almighty Creator of the Universe does not need apologists.

ALL LIVES MATTER
"This, needless to say, is a time of unrest. And one of the things that would seem to be bringing people together is the fact that black lives matter. May it be a stepping stone to a new appreciation that all lives matter, and that life is a precious gift . . ."Heaven help us, do we need mercy right now! We need to forgive one another and ask for forgiveness. How many of us have not been sensitive to the plight of our neighbor? How many of us have assumed things that aren’t quite true? Our expectations perhaps need to soften as we open up to walk alongside people in a new, more cooperative way. Black lives matter. Your suffering matters. And black and all lives deserve better than politically charged, civilization-upending agendas . . .
"If we truly believe that black lives and all lives matter, we are going to have to consider what can unite us and quit being dishonest and bungling opportunities for healing. Reboot. Deep breath. Actually opening a Bible to pray. These are called for. These would help." Kathryn Jean Lopez, National Review Online
COLLEGE
"System administrators want more “student success” and that is to be obtained by getting rid of “irrelevant” stuff, such as algebra. Those administrators don’t entertain the idea that some of the students they admit just aren’t ready for college or serious enough about learning to do what it takes to master the material. Most high schools have lowered their standards to keep students content, and when those kids get into college, they expect it to be more of the same — fun and not too difficult." George Leef, NRO
MASKS
"Mask proponents tell those who won’t wear them that they are rude, inconsiderate, and jeopardizing the health of others, especially the elderly. Those who don’t wear them just want to be left alone. Now I’m not addressing situations where the government or business requires them. I’m referring to this insistence that we must all wear them everywhere even though it’s only optional . . .
"The surgical masks that people are wearing aren’t even meant to block viruses. They are designed primarily to block large splashes of blood and other fluids that may be contaminated with pathogenic microbes and transmitted during medical procedures. They don’t even pretend to claim to block a large percentage of viruses. They may block someone from sneezing on you, but not the viruses inside . . .
"I’m sure most mask proponents mean well. They really think they are keeping people safer by wearing them. It’s hard to blame them considering the conflicting information we’ve gotten from our leaders and so-called experts. But they need to stop being so rude and condescending to those of us who have done the research and concluded otherwise. They accuse us of not caring about the elderly but these are the same people who support euthanasia. It’s a ruse." Rachel Alexander, Townhall
