Sunday Meditation

THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION:  Thoughts from Martin Luther

“O Lord my God, if I have done this . . . if I have repaid my friend with evil or plundered my enemy without cause . . . lay my glory in the dust.” Psalm 7:3-5

“For this is the Christian religion, to be just to all without a selection according to the person & physical partiality . . . And this is what the word ‘justice’ means, namely, that one who is just is the same toward all without regard for or discrimination of persons.”

Martin Luther Psalm by Psalm, Concordia Publishing House, 2017.

MY MEDITATION

I have to constantly remind myself that those with whom I disagree for whatever reason--politics, religion, whatever!--are not my real enemies. My real, sworn enemy is Satan.

Missionaries

We help support Stu & Deb Freese, missionaries in West Africa. One of the greatest challenges facing West African Lutheran churches is their outreach to Muslims. For more information, here are some contacts.
