It's 8:00a. I'm killing time, waiting for the sprinkler guys to show up & shut down our sprinklers for the season. P.S. Our snow is mostly gone, & it's supposed to get a little warmer.
WHAT I'M READING
* I'm a newspaper junkie. We subscribe to two newspapers: the Omaha World Herald & the Norfolk Daily News, which is the best newspaper for a city our size that I've ever seen.
* I finished reading "The Frozen Hours, A Novel of the Korean War," by Jeff Shaara. I recently finished another novel by him about the Battle of Shiloh.
* Last night I started reading "1858: Abraham Lincoln, Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, Ulysses S. Grant, & the War They Failed to See," by Bruce Chadwick. I read the first chapter. It looks promising.
POLITICAL POTPOURRI
As much as I'm dreading the outcome of the election, I'm looking forward to--I think--the election being over & done with. I'm afraid that if Trump gets re-elected, there will be riots. If Biden & the Democrats win, heaven help us.
