I took a personal day today so that I could attend to some personal business. Lois has agreed to help me find our Christmas cards, which up till now have remained hidden. I plan to start working on our Christmas letter. I'm hoping to talk Lois into doing lunch with me at El Mezcal. [Queso dip & chile rellenos. Mmmm.]

MAN'S BEST FRIEND

You would be awed by Sammy's performance every morning, as we let him out of his kennel in the basement & observe him galloping pell mell up the stairs, into the kitchen, where he devours his breakfast with unparalleled glee. So this morning Lois timed him. It took him all of 2:55 to accomplish this task this morning, which seemed slow to me.
