FAMILY REUNION
Lois & I will be traveling to Washington, DC, tomorrow. We will be joining family for our late brother-in-law Paul's memorial service & interment @ Arlington National Cemetery on FRI. Paul died last November after a brief illness.
As far as family reunions go, it seems sad that, as we grow older, funerals increasingly seem to be occasions for family reunions. [I attended the funeral of my Uncle Royce a little over a week ago.]
We will remember Paul for the kindness he showed to us over the years. He served as the official wedding photographer at our wedding. He & Kathy, his widow, loaned us the money for our first house. May he rest in peace.

* Grumpy Old Men & Their Elucidating Rants
I haven't been blogging as much lately. [Is that really so bad?] I've been suffering from a sort of writer's bloc, which is frustrating for someone who is, shall we say, a little(?) wordy. If you follow my blog, you know that I like to print excerpts from a variety of sources, followed by my witty(?) comments. I just haven't been finding that many excerpts that seem worthy of my intellectual(?) comments.
HIS INTELLECT, THE WILL, THE HAND
“I will remember the
deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember Your wonders of old.” Ps. 77:11
“To remember the works of God is
not a bare contemplation of them but always to thank Him in them, & thus
through them to place one’s hope in God, fear Him, love Him, seek Him, & to
hate evil & flee sin.” Martin
Luther Psalm by Psalm, Concordia Publishing House, 2017.
