No matter what happens to the weather, the climate explainers have their theory--their infinitely adaptable theory, which they claim is science. Warm weather confirms their worst fears. Cold weather is waved away. From OWH, "Upon Further Review," by Brad Dickson (12/31:  "There are no college bowl games on New Year's Eve. That's to preserve the sanctity of a holiday reserved for drinking too much & vomiting in the street." [Comment:  Now that I re-read this excerpt, I think it may have been more apropos for "There Is No Place Like . . . Wisconsin."]

3. "Scott Frost. [Which referred to the hiring of new FB coach, former Husker QB & integral part of a National Championship. If you don't remember the year, you may just be a millennial.]
4. "Nebraska volleyball." [That's right. The Lady Huskers won the National Championship for the 2nd time in 3 yrs, & couldn't muster any higher than a 4th place finish on Tom Shatel's list.]

From Norfolk Daily News (12/29):  "Baby Jesus attempt. Police in Rome on Christmas Day detained a topless protester after she tried to remove the baby Jesus from the Vatican's nativity scene. The woman was wearing only pants & shoes. A photographer said the woman jumped over guard rails & rushed onto the nativity scene shouting, 'God is woman!' She had the same message written on her back. Video of the moment posted to Twitter shows the topless woman being tackled to the ground by a police officer in a black cape, right in the middle of the nativity scene w/a statue of the mother of Jesus looking on . . . "  [COMMENT:  This woman may be a victim of {take your pick}]:

• Brain-washing by Femi-Nazi's [as they are labeled by my good friend El Rushbo]
• A sexist culture which doesn't hesitate to mention her lack of clothing but wouldn't bother to mention the lack of clothing if this crime would have been perpetrated by a man.
• Did I mention bad theology?
