WHAT I'M READING
I finished reading the biography of Jim Thorpe. Very enlightening. Also very depressing. Now I'm reading "The Jazz Age President: Defending Warren G. Harding." He's often considered one of the worst if not the worst U.S. president. I'm learning why this isn't true.
WHAT WE'RE WATCHING
Lois & I started watching S.W.A.T. What it lacks in authenticity it makes up for with stilted dialogue & stock characters.

TRAVEL TIPS
"You've just arrived at the checked baggage counter &--drat!--your suitcase is over the weight maximum. Now you have to pop it open & put on a fashion show for fellow passengers as you layer on three sweaters. Next time you fly, bring a zippered pillowcase. Pillows aren't usually considered a personal item by most airlines, so you can pack a few extra outfits instead of dealing with a carry-on or an overweight luggage fee. Just make sure to check your airline's pillow policy before you fly." Reader's Digest, June 2022
